ATLANTA, Ga. āĀ Five members of the Kennesaw State women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships on Friday.

"We were very proud the women this week," Director of Tennis
Matt Emery said. "I loved how we competed. I loved our fight. Even in the matches we lost we put ourselves in positions to win. Our margin of error continues to get smaller and smaller and that's what this fall season for us has been all about."

KSU had one doubles team and two singles players in the main draw. The Owls fought hard but were unable to advance out of the main draw in the Round of 64.

KSU got singles qualifying wins on Thursday from
Sofia Pinedo by a score of 6-2, 6-3 over FAU and Amulika Gottiparrthy who defeated her opponent from Florida A&M 7-6 (1), 7-6 (5). Pinedo and
Sophia Unger teamed up in doubles to acquire an 8-1 over FAMU in doubles qualifying.

The Owls are back on the court to close out the fall season on Oct. 28-30 at the Mercer Gridiron Classic in Macon, Ga.
