Owls Head to Georgia Tech for ITA Southeast Regionals

Tournament Information

KENNESAW, Ga. -
The Kennesaw State women's tennis team continues its fall schedule this weekend at the Georgia Southern Shootout. Play begins Friday morning and runs through Sunday.
 
Players from seven universities will compete this weekend at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
 
Taylor Dean, Sofia Pinedo, Ji Youn Lee, Sophia Unger and Amulika Gottiparthy will compete for KSU in singles and doubles.
 
Ins and Outs of Fall Season
Fall tennis consists of individual tournaments, while the team matches occur only in the spring. The Owls will compete in several individual tournaments this fall, including the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout, ITA Southeast Regionals and the Mercer Gridiron Classic

The Field
This year's tournament includes student-athletes from the following schools: UCF, Florida, Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic, FGCU, FIU, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Miami, North Florida, South Florida and Stetson.

Tournament Format
-Qualifying draws will be available late Wednesday; Main Draws will be available Thursday
-All matches in Qualifying will be held on Thursday with two rounds of singles and two rounds of doubles
-There will not be a Qualifying Consolation
-The Main Draw features a 64 singles players draw and 32 doubles teams draw
-There will be a singles and doubles consolation draw for first round losers in the Main Draw
