Final Results
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team wrapped up play at the Carolina Cup Tuesday at Country Club of Carolina.
"The highlight of the day was a hole in one by Hugo which really gave us something to cheer about," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "Evan posted a gutsy round today too which should give him some confidence. Poor finishing on both nines cost us in a week where we just couldn't get any momentum going. We're looking forward to coming back strong and defending at Pinetree next week."
The Owls carded a 10-over par round of 298 in round two and finished 10
th at 27-over par 891.
Hugo Lari finished tied for 18
th at 2-over par 218. Lari posted a 4-over 76 on Tuesday. His shot of the week came at the par-3 12
th hole where he recorded a hole-in-one. He finished the event with 36 pars, eight birdies and an eagle.
Shaun Cook made two birdies and 13 pars in route to a 1-over 73. Cook led the tournament in pars with 40 in the three-day event. The freshman finished tied for 31
st at 5-over par 221.
Claes Borregaard finished tied for 34
th at 6-over par 222. The sophomore shot a 4-over par 76 in the final round.
Evan Thompson carded a season-low round of 1-under par 73. He shot an even-par 36 over his final nine holes of the event. He finished tied for 62
nd at 15-over par 231.
Rylan Black shot 78 and took home a tie for 73
rd at 21-over par 237.
