Hendrick Leads Owls on Final Day of Bob Pollock Invitational

Final Results 

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams finished competition at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday.
 
Men's Top Performances
  • Tyler Blalock landed a toss of 18.60m (61'0.25") and Courtney Lawrence added a mark of 18.16m (59'7") to finish second and fourth in the shot put.
  • Juan Cavazos II cleared 2.01m (6'7") in the high jump to finish seventh.
  • Justin Campbell landed a leap of 14.49m (47'6.50") in the triple jump to take home eighth.
  • Koi Williams ran 1:52.53 in the 800m to secure 12th.
  • Henry Plowden ran a season-best time of 8:52.61 in the 3k finishing 40th.
 
Women's Top Performances
  • Sarah Hendrick won the 800m in a time in a time of 2:04.55.
  • That time ranks No. 3 in the NCAA this season and third in program history.
  • Mollie Speights cleared the bar 1.66m (5'5.25") to finish eighth in the high jump.
  • Jasmine Akins jumped a season-best mark of 12.46m (40'10.5") and secured 10th in the triple jump.
  • Jada Smith cleared the bar at 3.66m (12'0.00") to finish eighth in the pole vault.
  • Louise Tocays posted a time of 24.92 seconds and finished 21st in the 200.
  • Nyah Hernandez (9:50.73) and Katie Meyer (9:54.00) finished 16th and 17th in the 3k.

"We had a lot of solid performances on day one and I thought we did a good job of coming back and competing on day two. We have a lot of kids that continue to progress and challenge their personal records. Sarah Hendrick posting a top-three national mark is something that can't be overstated. She is a special kid! Huge congratulations to her and Coach Bray! We have had a solid start to the season but I think this week off is coming at a great time. I'm looking forward to getting everyone rolling before championship season!"
