THE STORYLINE
The Owls began on the right foot in Allen Arena with a solid first quarter, but the 3-point shot played a factor for a Lipscomb team that notched nearly half of their points from the perimeter. Kennesaw State ends the road trip by dropping the final game 61-53 to Lipscomb on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kennesaw State once again started the game off hot and it was once again due to the play of the Owls' no. 30, Gillian Piccolino; after a Jah'Che Whitfield jumper, Piccolino made it a 5-0 game with a trey.

The visitors were experiencing 3-point success in the early going, with Amaris Baker nailing a trifecta from a long way out to extend the Owls' advantage to 10-5.

Two jumpers from the day's leading scorer, Alexis Poole, would end the KSU scoring for the first quarter.

Down 14-7 heading into the second quarter, the Bisons would dominate the next ten minutes. Lipscomb shot 10-for-13 from the field and five-for-seven from the perimeter to go into halftime leading 35-27.

The rest of the matchup was evenly matched between the two teams, with the squads scoring 10 points each in the third quarter and 16 apiece in the fourth.

At the 4:36 mark of the third quarter, Stacie Jones was able to net a layup after putting a Bison on skates to bring the Owls within four points.

Having become routine this season, Kennesaw State fought for everything in the fourth quarter.

After Lipscomb grabbed its biggest lead of the day at 55-41, the Owls would go on a 12-3 run to get back within five points with 1:14 before the horn sounded.

No other shots would go in for KSU, however, and the Bisons' win was confirmed with a scoreline of 61-53.
