On the team's performance today …

" Overall, I thought today was a good starting point. The men both opened day one of the heptathlon with multiple personal-best performances and should be on pace for some big scores tomorrow. On the women's side, I must give Kywana a shout out! She had personal-best marks in all five events which helped her to a 627-point personal best total score.  All the ladies competed hard today. We will continue to keep working to reach all their goals for conference."
