CLINTON, SC. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team dominated Presbyterian 7-0 at the Templeton Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon. The win gives KSU (2-0) its first 7-0 match sweep since the 2016 season when it defeated New Jersey Institute of Technology 7-0 on Apr. 7.
For the second consecutive match, the Owls picked up the doubles point.

Kat Muzik earned a 6-3 win on court one, while
Sofia Pinedo/
Soomin Kim secured the doubles point with a 6-3 victory from court three.

Valentina Taddia were up 5-4, but the match went unfinished due to victories from Dean/Muzik and Pinedo/Kim.
KSU quickly claimed five singles matches in two sets to secure the win. The Owls jumped out to a lead with wins from Muzik (6-0, 6-2) and Pinedo (6-0, 6-2). Tadia would secure the win for KSU with her 6-2, 6-1 win. Also earning points were Dean (6-3, 6-4), Kim (6-2, 6-3) and Lee (7-6 (3), 3-6, 10-7).
With the win, KSU extends its all-time series lead to 4-2 over Presbyterian. The Owls are back in action next Friday, Jan. 21 as they travel to North Carolina to face off with UNC-Greensboro. Start time will be decided next week. Tomorrow's scheduled match with Gardner-Webb (Jan. 16) has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
