Two Owls Named in “Top 500 Incoming Freshman” by Perfect Game

PERFECT GAME TOP 500 INCOMING FRESHMAN LIST

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State baseball program received its first honors of the fall season on Friday afternoon when pitchers Miller Riggins and Harry Cain IV were named to the "Top 500 Incoming Freshman" list put out by Perfect Game USA. Riggins was ranked No. 327, while Harris was featured at No. 432.

Riggins joins the Owls from Houston High School in Collierville, Tenn. The left-hander was ranked as the No. 49 left-handed pitcher in the country and No. 14 in the state of Tennessee for the 2021 graduate class. Riggins played travel baseball with the Easley Baseball Club last summer and threw a complete game on Jun. 11, 2021 against Team Georgia 17U National. Riggins announced his commitment to Kennesaw State on Jul. 25, 2020.

Cain comes to Kennesaw State University from St. Francis High School in Atlanta, Ga. The 6-6, 210-pound right hander received a nine out of 10 Perfect Game USA scout grade after his performance at the 2021 Sunshine Southeast Showcase. Cain was ranked as the No. 181 right-handed pitcher in the country and #12 in the state of Georgia for the 2021 graduate class. During the summer, Cain competed for the Georgia Jackets travel baseball club and committed to Kennesaw State on Jun. 27, 2020.

Fans can catch Riggins and Cain IV on Sunday, Oct. 3 in a scrimmage against Walters State at 1 p.m. in the Stillwell Stadium.
