SAPPHIRE, N.C. – Lucas Mota and
Brock Healy led the Kennesaw State men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the J.T. Poston Invitational. The tournament concluded at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley on Tuesday.
"I can't say enough about the great fight these guys had on the back nine today," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "Conditions were blustery with tough hole locations and we had a rough patch on the front nine but steadied ourselves and made a charge down the stretch while others were folding up. The disciplined game plan into the greens paid off and we were rewarded. Lucas and Brock played spectacular golf on the back and almost got their hands on the trophy. I know this team will get into contention soon and will believe in their ability to finish it off."
