Samford Invite #1 Final Results | Limestone Challenger Results
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Members of the Kennesaw State men's tennis team competed at the Samford Fall Invite #1 and The Limestone Challenger over the weekend.

Daniel Botti,
Seru Tezuka,
Harvey Conway and
Kevin Patel combined to go 20-3 at the Samford Fall Invite #1. Botti and Tezuka each went 6-0. Conway was 5-1 while Patel finished 4-2.

In singles,Botti and Tezuka both finished their perfect weekends with 6-1, 6-0 victories on Sunday. Conway closed the weekend with a 7-6, 6-0 win over Jaap Aaldering of Georgia Southern. Patel battled and hung on to beat Will Gray of Samford by a score of 7-5, 7-6.

In doubles, the Owls saw Botti and Tezuka go 3-0 with wins over Samford, Georgia Southern and Southern Miss. Patel and Conway finished with a 6-4 victory over Alexander Gima and Antonio Audrain of Southern Miss.

"Our guys will take a ton of confidence from this weekend. Going 20-3 against this strong field of teams is a great way to start the fall. Jackson Lee competed at the Limestone Challenger. Salmeron paced the Owls at the event going 2-1 in singles with wins over players from Limestone and Gardner-Webb.

 "This tournament was all about getting experience as Taka, Hugo, and Jack were all playing their first matches as Owls. The first day and a half was a lot of them getting the nerves out of the way. We finished the second half of today strong, playing much more relaxed and confident."

Following this weekend, the Owls are back on the court at the Panther Invite on September 24-26.
