- Former Owl and current volunteer coach Daniel Haugh participated in the final round of the hammer throw in the 2020 Olympics on Wednesday.

Haugh landed a toss of 76.22m (250'0") to finish 11th overall.

"Proud is an understatement," director of track and field and cross country Cale McDaniel said. "Daniel Haugh is a fantastic human being that continues to work his tail off and represent Kennesaw State at the highest level. We will always be incredibly proud of him and will continue to support the great work of Daniel and coach Mike Judge. There are big things to come for Daniel in this sport."

Haugh is the first athlete to compete in the finals of an event in the Olympics in KSU history.
