KENNESAW, Ga. – The ASUN Conference announced that Kennesaw State women's track and field's
Sarah Hendrick was selected to the ASUN Winners for Life team Wednesday.
Hendrick won the 800m in a time of 2:01.47 to set the school record and qualify for U.S. Olympic Trials at the Crimson Tide Invite. The sophomore also won the 800m at the prestigious Drake Relays. The Kennesaw, Ga. native secured wins in the 800m at the ASUN Indoor and ASUN Outdoor Championships. She earned NCAA and USATFCCCA First Team All-America honors at both NCAA Championships this season and finished 34
th in the 800m at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
Hendrick is women's cross country representative on the KSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She sports a 3.95 GPA while majoring in nursing. She was also named to the ASUN Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Teams.
The Winners for Life team honors a campus citizen that is respected as one who shares and/or demonstrates the ASUN Core Values: Education, Honesty, Student-Athlete Experience, Fairness, Health, Ambition, Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership, Responsibility, and Sportsmanship. To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have competed in the current academic year in an ASUN sponsored sport and be in good academic standing at his/her university.
