Blalock landed a mark of 19.00m (62'4") to finish 15th in the qualifying round of the shot put. He wrapped up his strong season with seven wins, a gold medal at the ASUN Indoor Championship and the school record holder in the shot put for KSU in indoor and outdoor track and field.
Ā
"Tyler capped off a great year with a great performance on a big stage," Director of Track and Field Cale McDaniel said. "I could not be prouder of these young people that continue to put the KSU logo on the map."
Ā
Haugh advanced to Sunday's hammer throw final with a mark of 77.43m (254'0") finishing second overall. His mark meets the Olympic standard meaning he needs just to finish in the top-three on Sunday to make the U.S. Olympic team. His mark ranks fifth in U.S. Olympic Trials history.Ā
