Sarah Hendrick (800m) and Paris Wlliams (110m hurdles) will represent Kennesaw State at the U.S. Olympic Trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. KSU volunteer coaches
Kord Ferguson (discus),
Daniel Haugh (hammer throw) and
Haley Teel (shot put) along with former Owl Jordan Gray (heptathlon) are scheduled to compete as well.
The top three athletes in each event will qualify for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan provided they have met the qualifying standard. Track & field events in Tokyo are scheduled for July 30-Aug. 8.
Track & Field coverage from Hayward Field begins on Friday, June 18, at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with qualifying, and continues at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC, with the finals in men's shot put and men's 10,000m. Live coverage concludes on Sunday, June 27, at 7:00 p.m. ET on NBC with numerous events, including the men's 200m and women's 400m hurdles finals.

NEWS AND NOTES
» Al-Khaliq will compete in the triple jump. He qualified for the trials with a personal-best leap of 15.78m (51'9.25") at the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 17. The senior collected two wins and a runner-up finish in his final collegiate season in the triple jump.
» Blalock landed a career-best toss of 19.98m (65' 6.75") at the Clark Wood Open on April 23 to qualify for this event in the shot put. The junior won seven times and set the indoor and outdoor school records in the shot put this season.
» Hendrick won the 800m in a time of 2:01.47 to set the school record and qualify for U.S. Olympic Trials at the Crimson Tide Invite. The sophomore also won the 800m at the prestigious Drake Relays. The Kennesaw, Ga. native secured wins in the 800m at the ASUN Indoor and ASUN Outdoor Championships. She earned NCAA and USATFCCCA First Team All-America honors at both NCAA Championships this season.

Paris Williams ran 13.67 seconds in 110m hurdles at the JAC Classic on June 12 to qualify for the trials. The senior won the 110m hurdles at the ASUN Outdoor Championship on May 15.
» Gray scored 5903 points in the heptathlon at the U.S. Championships on July 27-28, 2019 to qualify for this event. She ranks 12
th in the United States and 87
th in the world in the heptathlon.
» Haugh ranks third in the United States and 11
th in the world in the hammer throw this season with a mark of 79.03m (259'3") he posted at the USATF Throws Fest on May 22
nd. Haugh won the National Championship in the hammer throw in 2019 as an Owl. He competed at the 2019 U.S. Championships and World Championships.
» Ferguson enters the men's discus competition ranked fourth in the U.S. and 23
rd in the world. He landed a personal-best toss of 66.19m (217'2") at the Rome Throws Challenge on June 6.
» Teel will compete in the women's shot put. She posted a mark of 18.40m (60'4.5") at the USATF Indoor Championships in February of 2020 to qualify for the trials.
