JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four members of the Kennesaw State women's track and field team competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships on Thursday at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida.
Running Event Qualifiers for Saturday's Quarterfinals
Sarah Hendrick ran a time of 2:03.46 in the 800m to finish fifth overall and advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.
Notable Performances
Jasmine Akins narrowly missed qualifying for Eugene. She finished 15
th with a mark of 6.20m (20'4.25") in the long jump ending her strong freshman campaign.
Makenzie Zeh wrapped up her collegiate career with a time of 4:20.60 in the 1500m finishing 34
th.
Lindsay Billings ran a time of 34:26.77 to finish 18
th in the 10k.
11 members of the KSU men's track and field team will compete on day three of the NCAA East Preliminary Championships on Friday, May 28. Billings and Hendrick will run for KSU on Saturday, May 29.
