JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Kennesaw State men's track and field team opened action at the ASUN Outdoor Track and Field Championship Friday, May 14 at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida. The Owls sit in third place after day one of the two-day meet.

Liberty - 99 points
North Florida - 36 points
Kennesaw State - 35 points
Bellarmine – 9 points
Lipscomb – 6 points
Decathlon (Through five events)
- Ian Jackson leads the decathlon scoring 3620 points in the opening five events.
- Jackson won the long jump (6.75m; 22'1.75"), high jump (1.88m; 6'2") and the 400m (50.16 seconds) on Friday.
- Jackson had personal-best decathlon performances in all five events.
- Quann Shears is in second place with 3460 points.
- Shears won the 100m (11.12 seconds) and was second in the shot put with a toss of 12.15m (39'10.50").
- He had personal-best decathlon performances in the 100m and the shot put.
Medal Winners
- Jack Rhea won the pole vault clearing 5.20m (17'0.75"). That mark set the ASUN Outdoor Championship record.
- Kelvin Campbell landed a wind-aided mark of 7.44m (24'5") to finish third in the triple jump.
