LEADING OFF
» The Kennesaw State softball team (14-18, 7-2) welcomes Bellarmine (5-18, 0-6), FGCU (19-12, 10-2), Stetson (6-16, 2-10) and Lipscomb (11-12, 2-4) in an ASUN crossover weekend, as Bailey Park will host 10 games over three days.
» The Owls' play currently leads the ASUN's Northern Division, with the team winning five of their last seven games. Friday afternoon's game between Kennesaw State and Florida Gulf Coast will pit the best team in the Northern Division against the best team in the Southern.
» No ASUN team has hit more home runs in conference play than KSU's 10, with the Owls sporting an ASUN-leading .489 slugging percentage in their nine games.

LAST TIME OUT
» The Owls fell to the No. 20 Georgia Bulldogs 3-1 on Wednesday evening.
» Cheyanne Sales scored the lone run with her second big fly of the year.
» Sales was the only Owl with multiple hits, her first multi-hit game of 2021.
» Melanie Bennett tossed a complete game of seven innings, striking out six UGA hitters.

IN THE CIRCLE
» Bennett still holds an impressive 11-9 record, winning three of her last four starts and possessing the most wins in her conference.
» The hometown hero of Kennesaw, Ga. has struck out 105, with Bennett second in the ASUN rankings with 105.

IN THE BATTERS BOX
» Brea Dickey has cemented herself as one of the best contact hitters in the ASUN, with her .344 batting average tied for sixth-best in the conference.
» Lexi Solorzano's keen batting eye has facilitated her .453 on-base percentage, the second-best ratio in the league. Much of this is due to the first baseman's 19 walks in 2021, a total that is tied at the top of the ASUN standings.
» Taylor Cates is ranked in a draw for first in the conference with 11 home runs and second with 25 RBIs.

BELLARMINE SCOUTING REPORT
» Newcomers to the ASUN Conference, the Bellarmine Knights have struggled to make an impact in their debut season.
» Catcher Sydney Young leads the Louisville, Ky. team offensively, possessing the team lead in batting average (.303), RBIs (14) and slugging percentage (.470).
» Despite pitching in her rookie season, Carson Goatley is Bellarmine's first option out of the pitching staff. Goatley has a 3-6 record and a 2.68 ERA, allowing an opponent batting average of .243 while playing for her hometown team.

FGCU SCOUTING REPORT
» The Eagles sport the best conference record in the ASUN, winning 9 of their last 11 league games.
» Johneisha Rowe's scorching speed sees her with an ASUN-best 22 stolen bases and one of the top-three batting averages with .378.
» Marissa Mesiemore has the most pitching wins by anyone not named Melanie Bennett in the ASUN (10), but Taylor Bauman has the third-best ERA with a 1.86.

STETSON SCOUTING REPORT
» Stetson is the bottom team of the ASUN's division of Florida teams, winning only one of its last five games.
» No team has more total stolen bases than the Stetson Hatters' 49.
» Stetson pitching has floundered this season, allowing a .295 opposing batting average.

LIPSCOMB SCOUTING REPORT
» Lipscomb have had a mixed bag of results but are a win-streak away from raising its position in the ASUN's Northern Division.
» Hitting as the leadoff and cleanup batters respectively, shortstop Amy Vetula is fourth (.364) and catcher Kamrie Rich is fifth (.351) in the ASUN's top five batting averages.
» The Bisons' rely on the pitching prowess of graduate Breana Burke, who owns a 2.55 ERA and a 7-5 record.
