Round Three Results
MACON, Ga.- The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished tied for third in the Brickyard Collegiate at the Brickyard Golf Club on Tuesday.
"Overall our finish on the leaderboard was pretty good," interim head coach
Eric Hodgson said. "Tied for third in a good field. We finished our third round poorly, losing 10 strokes over the last four holes. We certainly need to improve upon that entering conference play."
KSU finished the tournament at 52-over par 916. The Owls recorded 31 birdies and 146 pars over all three rounds.
ASUN Golfer of the Week,
Tai Anudit led the Owls through all three rounds. Anudit finished tied for third with a 4-over par 216. She carded a 3-over-par 75 in round three. Anudit recorded nine birdies and 34 pars in the 54-hole event.
Sophomore
Alizee Vidal finished tied for 13
th with a 12-over par 228, posting a 5-over par 77 in round three. She carded 11 birdies and 27 pars over all three rounds.
Bella Kil finished tied for 31st at 17-over par 233. Kil recorded a 7-over par 79 in her final round. The sophomore made six birdies and 28 pars in the tournament.
Tori Owens posted an 8-over par 80 in her final round finishing tied for 38
th at 19-over par 235. Owens rolled in two birdies and 33 pars.
Meva Schmit finished tied for 73
rd at 38-over par 254. Schmit shot a 14-over par 86 in round three.
Competing as an individual,
Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman finished tied for 63rd at 29-over par 245. She carded six birdies over the tournament.
"There are many takeaways from this event, and we will work hard over the next two weeks before entering the ASUN championship." Hodgson said.
The Owls will head back to the course to prepare for the ASUN Championship on April 18-20 in Valdosta, Ga.
