LEADING OFF  
» The Kennesaw State softball team welcomes No. 20 Georgia to Bailey Park on Wednesday, April 7 at 5 p.m. in a makeup of a game that was postponed earlier this season due to weather.

» As a team, KSU is ranked first in triples with seven,  second with 22 home runs and tied for fourth with 29 doubles in the ASUN Conference.

LAST TIME OUT
» KSU clinched its weekend series knocking off league-leader Liberty in a doubleheader sweep.
» The Owls fell to the Flames 3-2 in game three.
» Taylor Cates collected her 11th home run and 25th RBI of the season.
» Faith Alexander was 4-for-8 at the plate hitting .500 and scoring two runs over the weekend.
» The Owls doubleheader sweep marked the first time the Flames had been swept on their home field since 2017.

IN THE CIRCLE
» Melanie Bennett (11-8) and Lindsey Kyte (3-3) each collected a win over Liberty tossing two complete games only allowing six runs on 16 hits.
» Bennett is ranked 22nd nationally with 11 wins and 28th with two saves. She is tied for second in the conference with 99 strikeouts.

IN THE BATTERS BOX
» Senior Brea Dickey leads the Owls offense with a .355 average, scoring 19 runs on 33 hits, eight doubles, two triples, three home runs, and 11 RBIs. Dickey is ranked fifth in the league with a .355 average.
» Lexi Solorzano follows behind hitting .329, scoring seven runs on 27 hits, four doubles, four home runs and 16 RBIs.
» Taylor Cates is ranked tied for first in the conference with 11 home runs and in second with 25 RBIs.

GEORGIA SCOUTING REPORT
»The Bulldogs are 23-7 overall and 4-5 in conference play.
» Mary Wilson Avant is the Bulldogs ace with a 1.44 era, tossing 97.1 innings, giving up 42 runs on 70 hits, while striking out 129.
» Lacey Fincher leads the charge for UGA scoring 19 runs on 29 hits, logging 10 home runs, five doubles and 25 RBIs.

SERIES VERSUS GEORGIA
»Wednesday's game marks the eighth meeting between the two programs and the second this season.
» The Bulldogs lead the series 7-0.
» UGA defeated KSU 8-3 in Athens, Ga earlier this year.
