Tori Owens was the sole Owl to represent the Kennesaw State women's golf team on the 2021 Spring ASUN All-Academic Team the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
This is the first honor of Owen's career and the sixth time KSU has had an Owl named to the all-academic team.
Owens, a public relations major, has a perfect 4.0 GPA and has played in seven tournaments this spring, helping lead the Owls to their fifth ASUN Championship title.
The Chatsworth, Ga., native played 21 rounds, with a 76.00 scoring average and had two top-five finishes. Owens earned a spot on the ASUN All-Tournament team after finishing tied for fifth with a 4-over par 220 at the ASUN Championship.
The sophomore's best finish of the season was at the Pinetree Women's Collegiate, where she carded a 1-over par 217 and tied for third. Owens was named ASUN Player of the Week for the first time in her career following her performance.
Owens and the rest of the Owls are awaiting its placement for regional play in the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship which will be announced this Wednesday at 2 p.m.
