LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kennesaw track and field teams participated at the Clark Wood Open and the Drake Relays Friday. 
 
School Records

• Tyler Blalock won the shot put at the Clark Wood Open with a career-best toss of 19.98m (65'6.75"). That throw ranks fourth in the NCAA this season.

 
Men's Top Performances

• Aaron Goodwin (21.49 seconds), Omar Diaz (21.53 seconds) and Jordan Hewing (21.66) took third, fifth and seventh in the 200m.
• Sultan Simms cleared the bar at 2.04m (6'8.25") to finish fourth in the high jump.
• Jack Rhea cleared 5.16m (16'11") to finish third in the pole vault.

 
Women's Top Performances

• Kaitlyn Corral finished second in the javelin throw with a career-best toss of 41.44m (135'11").
• Jasmine Akins landed a career-best mark of 6.29m (20'7.5") to finish runner-up in the long jump and increase her conference lead in the event.
• Javon Joyner landed a career-best toss of 13.65m (44'9.50") to take 18^th in the shot put.
• Olivia Brown ran a time of 14.13 seconds in the 100m hurdles to advance to Saturday's final at the Drake Relays.
•  Makenzie Zeh ran a personal-best time of 4:20.03 to finish ninth in the 1500m.

 
The Owls will finish competition at the Clark Wood Open and Drake Relays on Saturday, April 24.
