VALDOSTA, Ga.- The Kennesaw State women's golf team remains in the lead after two rounds of the ASUN Championship on Monday at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
"It was another awesome day on the course for the Owls," Interim head coach
Eric Hodgson said. "We had a few tough holes mid round but overall, we built on the lead we had from yesterday. I am so proud of this team and the energy they have brought to this tournament. Everyone has been lifting their teammates up and cheering them on."
KSU is in first place with a 4-under par 572 after two rounds. The Owls posted a 1-under par 287 in the second round. KSU leads the tournament with 30 birdies and in par-3 scoring, par-4 scoring and par-5 scoring.
No. 32
Tai Anudit's score of 8-under par is the lowest score in program history through 36 holes on a par-72 course. Anudit fired a 4-under par 68 in round two to remain in the lead with an 8-under par total of 136. She rolled in five birdies and 12 pars.
Freshman
Lara Jecnik shot a 2-under par 70 in her second round and remains in second place with a 4-under par 140. Jecnik's round included four birdies and 14 pars. Her 4-under par 140 is tied for third lowest in program history after 36 holes on a par-72 course.
Alizee Vidal carded a 3-over par 75 in her second round and is tied for fifth at 3-over par 147. Vidal recorded one birdie and 14 pars on Monday.
Tori Owens shot a 2-over par 74 and is tied for ninth at 5-over par 149. Owens recorded a pair of birdies and 13 pars.

Bella Kil posted a 6-over 78 par in round two for a total of 12-over par 156.
"Tomorrow will be a fun day and we look to build on the lead to bring home the trophy." Hodgson said.
The final round of the ASUN Championship is slated for Tuesday, April 20. The Owls will be paired with No. 43 North Florida and FGCU.
