ATHENS, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team is in fifth place after the second round of the ASUN Championship at the UGA Golf Course on Monday.

"Today conditions were a bit more challenging with winds and tougher hole conditions," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "We had a solid day going but finished poorly playing the last fourth holes at 5-over par. Tomorrow we will focus on finishing the season strong and see if we can sneak up the leaderboard."

The Owls posted a 6-over par 290 in round two for a 36-hole total score of 9-over par 577. No.13 Liberty leads the nine-team field after at 14-under 554.

Brady Keran led the Owls on Monday with a 1-under par 70. He is tied for eighth at 1-under par 141. The senior made three birdies and 13 pars during his second round. He leads the field with 29 pars through 36 holes.

Takafumi Shimoji carded a 2-over par 73 and is tied for 10
th at 1-over par 143. His nine birdies through two rounds are tied for third-most in the field.

Brock Healy (72),
Preston Topper (75) and
Luke Phillips (75) are tied for 21st at 6-over par 148. Healy had his low round of the tournament on Monday. Topper closed with birdies on two of his final four holes while Phillips played the final nine holes in 3-under par 33.

The Owls will again be paired with No.18 North Florida and North Alabama in the final round on Tuesday, April 20.
