» The Kennesaw State softball team hits the road for a three-game series against No. 22 Central Florida on Saturday (March 6) at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader at 12 and 2 p.m. on Sunday (March 7).
LAST TIME OUT
» The Kennesaw State softball team fell 7-3 to Georgia State at the Bob Heck Softball Complex on Wednesday night.
» Senior Raleigh Williams was 2-for-2 at the plate collecting her first home run of the year and her second double of season.  Â
» Brea Dickey leads for the Owls with a .368 batting average, eight runs on 14 hits and four doubles.
» Junior Taylor Cates ranks fourth in the ASUN with four RBIs.
» As a team, KSU is ranked fourth overall in the ASUN conference in hitting and pitching.
IN THE CIRCLE
» Lindsey Kyte got the start against Georgia State. Kyte pitched 2.1 innings, struck out two and walked three.
» Melanie Bennett is ranked first in the conference with one save, tied for second in wins with four and sits in third with 38 strikeouts on the season.
CENTRAL FLORIDA SCOUTING REPORT
The Knights are 10-2 overall with losses against No. 20 Missouri and FGCU. Jazmine Esperanza leads UCF with a .516 batting average with 16 hits, 13 RBIs, five doubles and two home runs. Alea White is the top pitcher for the Knights with a 0.94 era, six wins over 37.1 innings, giving up just eight runs on 24 hits while striking out 41.
SERIES VERSUS CENTRAL FLORIDA
This weekends series marks the second meeting between the two programs. KSU leads 1-0 over UCF. The two programs last met in March 2009 when the Owls clinched a 3-1 victory over the Knights.
