SAINT SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team sits perched atop the leaderboard after round one of the Sea Palms Invitational at Sea Palms Golf Course on Thursday.
Â
"Today was a tale of two nines and fortunately for us the back nine was really strong," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "On the front nine the guys would gain some momentum then take a step or two back and it just felt like we were getting nothing from the round. However, on the back nine everyone stepped on the gas and never let up. Takafumi topped off the round by holing out on 18 from 115 yards and Luke made a slick 15-foot putt for birdie as well. I really like where we are and feel if we can get something going early tomorrow we will solidify our contention. Super proud of all the efforts today and what is ahead of us."
