Round Three Results
JOHNS CREEK- Ga.- The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished in second place in the Georgia State Invitational at the Rivermont Golf Club on Tuesday.
"Today was such a fun day fighting for that top position on the last few holes," interim head coach
Eric Hodgson said. "We keep knocking on the door for the victory and are getting better every week. We have a short break before competing again at the Brickyard Intercollegiate next week and will work hard in the meantime."
The Owls finished the tournament at 21-over par 885. KSU carded one eagle, 33 birdies and 173 pars in the 54-hole event. The 885 total score is the Owls lowest of the season.
Tai Anudit was the Owls top finisher in the tournament. She finished tied for second with a 4-under par 212. She carded an even-par 72 in the final round on Tuesday. Anudit recorded nine birdies and 40 pars over all three rounds. The 4-under par total score of 212 was her lowest of the season.
Alizee Vidal finished tied for 11
th at 6-over par 222, collecting a 3-over par 75 in round three. Vidal led the tournament in scoring on par 5s at 6-under. She carded 10 birdies and 29 pars.
ASUN Golfer of the week,
Tori Owens finished tied for 18
th at 9-over par 225. Owens recorded a 7-over par 79 in her final round. The sophomore rolled in 39 pars and four birdies in the tournament.
Bella Kil collected one of three eagles over the whole tournament. Kil shot a 2-over par 74 in her final round and finished tied for 33
rd at 13-over par 229.
Freshman
Lara Jecnik finished in 47
th place at 16-over par 232. Posting a 4-over par 76 in round three.
Competing as an individual,
Meva Schmit finished tied for 60
th at 20-over par 236.
The Owls travel to Macon, Ga., to compete in the Brickyard Intercollegiate on Monday (April 5) and Tuesday (April 6) at the Brickyard Golf Club.
