GREENSBORO, Ga.– The Kennesaw State men's golf team is in sixth place after 36 holes at The National Intercollegiate at the Reynolds Lake Oconee National Course on Monday.

"Everyone fought hard today and improved in the afternoon round," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "We did a much better job of maintaining momentum and avoiding unforced errors. I like our confidence headed into tomorrow as we look to gain a few more spots on the leaderboard."

The Owls carded an 8-over par 296 in round one and a 2-under par 286 in round two. UT-Martin leads the 13-team field at 15-under par 561.

Brock Healy paced the Owls through the opening 36 holes. After opening with a 1-over par 73 the junior responded with a 3-under par 69 in the second round. Healy rolled in 24 pars and 7 birdies during the first two rounds. He is tied for ninth at 2-under par 142.

Sophomore
Takafumi Shimoji sits just one shot behind Healy. Shimoji recorded a 1-over par 73 in round one and a 2-under par 70 in round two and is tied for 11
th at 1-under par 143. He recorded 26 pars on Monday which is tied for the second-most made in the field. He was 2-under par over his final seven holes of the afternoon which included three birdies and three pars.

Brady Keran recorded rounds of 3-over par 75 and even-par 72 and is tied for 24
th at 3-over par 147. The junior carded seven birdies during the first two rounds.

Preston Topper (75-76) and
Justin Kim (76-75) are tied for 46
th at 7-over par 151.

Playing as an individual,
Luke Phillips is also tied for 46
th after he shot 77-74.

The Owls will conclude play at the National Intercollegiate on Tuesday, March 30 with tee times beginning at 8:45 a.m.
