Owls Post Solid Performances at Pair of Meets on Friday

KENNESAW, Ga. –
The Kennesaw State track and field teams competed at the Bulldog Relays and the Texas Relays on Friday.
 
Texas Relays
  • Paris Williams ran a personal-best time of 13.79 seconds to win his heat and finish second overall in the first round of the 110m hurdles.
  • That time advanced him to tomorrow's final and is tied for the fourth-fastest mark in program history in that event.
 
Bulldog Relays

Men's Top Performances
  • Tyler Blalock was third among collegiates in the hammer throw with a personal-best toss of 53.26m (174'9").
  • Anthony Harrison had a personal-best toss of 53.49m (175'6") to finish runner-up in the discus. That mark ranks No. 4 in program history.
  • Kyle Poole added a new personal-best toss of 48.36m (158'8) in the discus to finish sixth.
 
Women's Top Performances
  • Tiondra Grant had a personal-best throw of 43.86m (143'11") to take sixth in the discus.
  • Haylee Terry landed a personal-best toss of 48.31m (158'6') to finish sixth in the hammer throw.
  • Jayla Mobley crossed the finish line in a personal-best time of 55.58 seconds to take fifth in the 400m.
  •  Faith Bobak ran a time of 17:43.82 to finish third in the 5k.
  • Da'Yona Henry had a personal-best jump of 12.10m (39'8.50") to finish seventh in the triple jump. 
 
The Owls will wrap up competition at the Bulldog Relays and Texas Relays on Saturday, March 27.
