ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams concluded action at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday.
 
Event Wins

• Kelvin Campbell won the long jump with a leap of 15.55m (51'0.25").
• Kyle Poole was victorious in the discus with a toss of 47.20m (154'10").

 
Men's Top Performances

• Sultan Simms was runner-up in the high jump with a leap of 2.05m (6'8.75").
• Karl Joeaar was third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.70m (48'2.75").
• Koi Williams ran an outdoor personal-best time of 1:53.67 in the 800m to finish fourth.
• Sparticus Griffin (48.10 seconds) and Malik Hussie (48.47 seconds) finished second and third in the 400m.
• Tyriq Hussie finished the 200m in a time of 21.73 seconds to take third.
• The Owls 4x400m relay team of Malik Hussie, Paris Williams, Tyriq Hussie and Sparticus Griffin ran a time of 3:15.52 to finish second in the 4x400m.

 
 
Women's Top Performances

• Mollie Speights cleared 1.66m (5'5.25") to finish runner-up in the high jump.
• Jada Smith finished second in the pole vault clearing 3.70m (12'1.50")
• Jasmine Akins landed a mark of 12.05m (39'6.50") to finish third in the triple jump.
• Tiondra Grant had a toss of 39.32m (129'0") and Eriana Sanford landed a throw of 38.54m (126'5") to finish second and third in the discus.
• Rachel Van Amburgh posted a time of 2:11.59 to finish third in the 800m.

"It was nice opening up the outdoor season close to home. I believe we have a lot of work to do but it is very early in the outdoor season and I am very confident in the group we have.

The team will travel to Starkville, Mississippi to compete in the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays hosted by Mississippi State on March 26-27.
