TOLVE'S ON A ROLL

Tyler Tolve has been the most efficient hitter for the Owls, leading the team in RBIs (seven), batting average (.357) and slugging percentage (.536) among hitters with at least five at-bats. Only four hitters in the ASUN have more runs-batted-in than the ASUN Preseason All-Conference selection for designated hitter. The Marietta, Ga. native will look to continue his impressive form against UGA, who he hit a one-run single against last season in Kennesaw State's 10-3 loss to the Bulldogs last year.

JAKE IS RAKING

Newcomer Jake Coro is coming off an admirable weekend in Conway, S.C., hitting four-for-11 and three RBIs. Coro has become a staple of Head Coach Mike Sansing's lineup, starting every game of the 2021 season at the hot corner. Coro, a graduate from Southern New Hampshire, has brought invaluable experience to Kennesaw State's lineup.

SHERRILL'S A SURE THING

Another new addition to the KSU roster, Jesse Sherrill has made a home in the Owls' leadoff spot. Last weekend at Coastal Carolina, the second baseman led Kennesaw State in hits with five. Sherrill hit for a .357 batting average and batted in two runs in the three tournament games. The transfer from Gordon State has also been lights out with the glove, giving up only one error for a .966 fielding percentage.
