ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State track and field teams opened the outdoor season at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday. It was the first time KSU had competed in an outdoor meet as a team in 671 days. The 2020 outdoor season was canceled due to health concerns related to COVID-19.

- Tyler Blalock took second in the shot put with a toss of 18.29m (60'0.25") to break his own school record in the event.

Men's Top Performances
- Tyler Blalock was runner-up in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.23m (171'4").
- Freshman Caleb Hartley took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.78m (146'11") and fourth in the shot put with a toss of 15.73m (51'7.25").
- Freshman David Olusanya leapt 6.67m (21'10.25") to finish third in the long jump.
- Koi Williams ran a personal-best time of 3:56.58 to finish 16th in the 1500m.
- Paris Williams finished fourth in the 100m in a personal-best time of 10.76 seconds.

Women's Top Performances
- Tiondra Grant landed an outdoor personal-best mark of 13.21m (43'4.25) to finish third in the shot put.
- Kaitlyn Corral had a personal-best toss of 38.85m (127'5") to take fourth in the javelin.
- Louise Tocays ran a time of 12.08 seconds finishing second in the 100m.
- Rachel Van Amburgh took sixth in the 1500m with a time of 4:35.45.
- Makenzie Zeh (16:45.47) and Katie Meyer (17:01.54) ran outdoor personal-best times to finish second and third in the 5k.
