KENNESAW, Ga.-
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team rallied from behind to beat Jacksonville State by a score of 4-2 on Sunday on the Betty Siegel Courts.

"I was proud of the team today and especially the leadership of our upperclassmen," Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. "We got outworked in the doubles. The guys showed a lot of maturity and confidence to weather the storm and execute under pressure. Today was not our best tennis by any means, but we figured it out and got the win. Our level of play will continue to get better with each match. I was incredibly proud of our leadership and resolve."

The Gamecocks won the doubles point to grab the early 1-0 lead. Sergio Ingles and Sebastian Osorio were leading their match on court one when JSU clinched the point.

The Owls found themselves behind 2-0 after JSU collected a win on court five to open singles action. Senior Sergio Ingles got the Owls on the board first winning in straight sets over Guillermo Agost 6-2, 7-5. Freshman Raul Garcia collected his first collegiate victory with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Aljaz Kaplja to tie the match. Kevin Patel gave the Owls the lead for good when he defeated Thomas Norwood 6-4, 6-2. Sebatain Osorio clinched the win for the Owls after he took down Joaquin Vallejo 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
