FLORENCE, S.C. – Connor Coffee led the Kennesaw State men's golf team during the first two rounds of the Raines Company Intercollegiate on Saturday at Country Club of South Carolina.

"We had a very solid day overall for our team with very steady play," head coach
Bryant Odom said. "Everyone contributed and once again we have two guys in contention for medalist honors. The field is very bunched and we are in a good spot for a final round charge."

The Owls posted rounds of 7-under par 281 and 6-under par 282 for a 13-under par total of 563. KSU sits in sixth place nine shots behind Middle Tennessee State who leads the event.

Coffee carded a career-low score of 7-under par 65 in the opening round making seven birdies and 11 pars. That 65 is tied for the second-lowest score by an Owl on 18 holes on a par-72 course in program history. He posted a 1-under 71 in the second round. He is in second place at 8-under par 136 through two rounds.

Brock Healy opened with a 1-under 71 and closed the day with a 3-under par 69. He closed his second round with nine pars and four birdies over his final 13 holes. The junior is tied for tenth at 4-under par 140.

Brady Keran posted a pair of rounds of 1-under par 71 and tied for 19
th at 2-under par 142. The Canton, Ga. native rolled in 26 pars during his opening 36 holes.

After an opening round 2-over par 74,
Preston Topper responded with a even-par 72 in the second round. The sophomore is tied for 39
th at 2-over par 146.

Connor Rostowsky is tied for 41
st at 3-over par 147 while
Takafumi Shimoji is tied for 46
th at 4-over par 148.

The Owls will conclude play at the Raines Company Intercollegiate on Sunday, February 7.
