LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Kennesaw State men's track and field team took home a second-place finish at the ASUN Indoor Championships on Saturday.

Men's Heptathlon (Through seven events)
- Quann Shears finished third in heptathlon with a personal-best 4725 points.
- Shears finished second in the 1000m run on Saturday.
- Ian Jackson took fourth in the heptathlon with a personal-best 4628 points.
- Jackson won the 1000m in a time of 3:06.48 to close out the heptathlon.

- Tyler Blalock grabbed the silver medal in the weight throw with a toss of 18.14m (59'16.25").
- Kelvin Campbell jumped 15.39m (23"4.75") and Karl Jõeäär landed a mark of 14.70m (48'2.75") to grab the gold and silver medals in the triple jump.
- Aaron Goodwin crossed the finish line in 6.79 seconds and took second in the 60m.
- Omar Diaz tied his career-best time of 21.25 seconds and secured a silver medal in the 200m.
- Keishon Franklin ran a time of 48.71 seconds and finished third in the 400m.
Men's Notable Performances
- Anthony Harrison had a personal-best toss of 17.34m (56'10.75") in the weight throw finishing fourth picking up four points for the Owls.
- David Olusanya had a personal best leap of 14.17m (46'6") in the triple jump to finish fifth.
- Cameron Smith (8.52 seconds) and Ian Jackson (8.88 seconds) finished fifth and sixth respectively in the 60m hurdles.
- Sparticus Griffin recorded a time of 48.94 seconds to take fourth in the 400m.
- Omar Diaz (6.83 seconds) and Jordan Hewing (6.95 seconds) combined to collect five points in the 400m finishing fourth and sixth, respectively.
- Koi Williams took fifth in the 800m running a time of 1:55.75.
- Jordan Hewing (21.87 seconds) and Malik Hussie (21.88 seconds) finished fifth and sixth in the 200m.
- Gavin Frick picked up a point for KSU in the 5k running a personal-best time of 15:22.01 finishing sixth.

"We did not get done what we wanted to this weekend. I continue to be impressed by our men's team. We broke four school records and won numerous events. These guys will get it done sooner rather than later."
Next Up
Individuals who finish in the top-16 nationally in their specific event or top-12 in relay at the end of the indoor season will head to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 12-14. The Owls open their outdoor season on March 19-20 at the Georgia Tech Opener in Atlanta.
