ELON, N.C. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team came up on the short end of a 4-3 decision at Elon at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on Saturday.
 
The Phoenix won four singles matches to snag the victory.
 
KSU won the doubles point to grab an early 1-0 lead in the match. Kevin Patel and Sebastian Osorio beat Camilo Ponce and Nicholas Campbell 6-2 on court three. Raul Garcia and Harvey Conway defeated Kyle Frankel and Nicholas Condos 7-5 on court two to clinch the point.
 
Seru Tezuka increased the Owls lead to 2-0 after a 6-4, 6-1 win over Jacob Bicknell. Elon would then collect a pair of wins to tie the match on courts one and five. Sebastian Osorio downed Nicholas Condos 6-3, 6-4 on court two to give the Owls back the lead. Elon would take the final two matches to secure the win.
 
The Owls will return to action on Sunday, February 28 at Furman at 1 p.m.
