» The Kennesaw State softball team closes out the month of February with a busy schedule as it travels to Athens, Ga., taking on No. 19 Georgia Bulldogs Thursday (Feb 25) at 4:30 p.m., taking a pit stop in Atlanta, Ga to play Georgia Tech Saturday (Feb. 27) at 2 p.m. before returning home to close out the weekend against Miami University on Sunday (Feb. 28) at 11 a.m. at Bailey Park.
LAST TIME OUT
» The Owls are coming off a 3-2 tournament weekend against Western Kentucky, Indiana State and UT Chattanooga.
» WKU took the first game against the Owls 1-2 before the Owls clinched a come from behind victory over the Hilltoppers in their second meeting 5-4.
» KSU secured their first win if the season against ISU with a six run comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning.
» Junior
Faith Alexander led the series with four runs and six hits, a .462 batting average, one double, one triple, six RBIs and a stolen base.
» As a team, KSU collected 39 hits over the tournament, three more than all of their opponents.

IN THE CIRCLE
» Melanie Bennett earned her first ASUN Pitcher of the Week Award she posted a 2-1 record and 0.76 ERA in five outings at the Chattanooga Challenge.
» Bennett picked up two wins against Western Kentucky and UT Chattanooga and a save against Indiana State. Allowing five runs, two earned, on 16 hits while only waking five batters and totaling 21 strikeouts in 18.1 innings pitched, opening the tournament with a season high eight strikeouts in six innings against WKU on Friday.
GEORGIA SCOUTING REPORT
The Bulldogs are 5-2 overall with losses against South Alabama and Longwood University. Lacey Fincher leads the Bulldogs with five runs n 10 hits, eight RBIs, two homeruns and two strikeouts.
SERIES VERSUS GEORGIA
Thursday's game marks the seventh meeting between the Owls and the Bulldogs. UGA leads the series 6-0. The two teams last met in March 2018 when the UGA posted a 4-1 victory over the Owls.

GEORGIA TECH SCOUTING REPORT
The Jackets are 5-6 overall and 0-6 in ACC conference play. Losing three games to Clemson and three game to Florida State. Freshman Blake Nelman (5-6) leads GT with 38 strikeouts over 22.2 innings pitches, allowing 11 runs on 19 hits and only walking nine batters.

SERIES VERSUS GEORGIA TECH
Saturday's game will mark the 25
th meeting between the two programs. The Yellow Jackets lead the series 19-5. The two programs last met on Feb. 26, 2020, when GT beat KSU 2-1 in Atlanta, Ga.

MIAMI OHIO SCOUTING REPORT
The Redhawks are 1-3 overall all. Picking up one win against Tennessee. Karlee Juarez leads for MIA with a .357 batting average, three runs on five hits, two doubles, one homerun, and five RBIs.
