EATONTON, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished in fourth place in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational at Great Waters on Sunday.
"We fought hard today but it just wasn't enough to get the victory," Interim Head Coach
Eric Hodgson said. "There is a lot we have to figure out before our next event, but we will come back stronger. Our goal is to keep getting better every tournament and continue to shake off the rust from COVID-19."
The Owls finished the tournament at 44-over par 908. The Owls carded one eagle, 29 birdies, and 161 pars over 54 holes.
Tai Anudit was the top finisher for the Owls in the tournament, posting a 2-over par round of 74 on Sunday. She finished tied for second with a 3-over par 219. Anudit posted six birdies and 40 pars over three rounds.
Alizee Vidal shot a 3-over par 75 and tied for 15
th with a three-day total of 11-over par 227.
Bella Kil carded the only eagle of the tournament in round one on hole 15. She finished tied for 35
th at 17-over par 233.
Tori Ovens posted a 7-over par 79 in round three. She is tied for 35
th at 17-over par 233.
Lara Jecnik finished tied for 47
th at 21-over par 237.
Competing as an individual,
Meva Schmit finished tied for 57
th with a 24-over par 240.
"We have a two-week break before our next event, we plan to use that time to focus on our weak points and move forward," Hodgson said.
The Owls will head to Augusta, Ga. for the Valspar Augusta Invitational on March 13 and 14.
