COVID-19 PROTOCOL FAQ
Kennesaw State Athletics is steadfast in its commitment of public health and safety. We ask for your patience with us during these truly unprecedented times as we attempt to make the best decisions for our student-athletes, staff, employees, and fans. Here is a list of FAQs regarding gameday protocol.Â
 Â
Q: Am I required to wear a face covering?Â
A: All fans will be required to abide by Kennesaw State University mask policy which mandates face coverings being worn at all times while on campus and in common spaces. Therefore, face coverings must be worn in order to attend Kennesaw State athletic events. We ask that you supply your own. Â
Masks are required to be properly worn at all times, including sitting in your seat and should only be removed when eating or drinking. Masks must cover both the nose and mouth simultaneously. All fans over the age of two are required to wear a mask.Â
Any fan that does not adhere to this mandate will be removed from the venue.  Â
 Â
Q: Will health screens be required to enter athletic facilities?Â
A: No; however, we are asking fans to self-screen before arriving at all Kennesaw State athletic events if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.Â
 Â
Q: What is preventing fans from sitting in non-distanced seats?Â
A: Although seating is general admission and available on a first-come, first-serve basis, we ask for your cooperation by sitting in the same seat for the duration of the game. This is critical to ensure social distancing between fan groups.Â
 Â
Q: Will concessions be available?Â
A: Yes, for all spring games except tennis, soccer on Field 8, and lacrosse on Field 3. Fans may bring their own food for those matches.
Concessions will now have menus with predominantly pre-packaged items for food handling safety and speed of service. All transactions will be cashless through credit cards.Â
 Â
Q: Will restrooms be open?Â
A: Yes.Â
 Â
Q: Are fans allowed on the field or court following the conclusion of the game?Â
A: No. Only pre-approved, health-screened coaches, staff and officials are allowed on the field or court at any time.Â
 Â
Q: How will fans exit the stadium?Â
A: We ask that fans stagger their exit times to avoid overcrowding at exits and to maintain social distancing.Â
Q: What other precautions will be taken at sporting events this year? Â
A: Our priority is the health and well-being of our student-athletes, staff and fans. Fans should plan for extra precautions at sporting events this spring. This may include designated entrances and time to be allowed into the facility, concession purchase process adjustments, physical distancing in seats and COVID-19 protocols upon entrance.Â
Hand sanitizer stations will available throughout all facilities. In addition, KSU will continue with increased staffing from our custodial vendor to assist with wiping down railings with disinfectant. There will be routine checks and cleaning of restrooms. Â
Â
Q: What happens if a game is delayed or canceled due to factors related to COVID-19? Â
A: While we remain hopeful that each game will be played, all games are subject to change.Â
To keep up with the latest news and schedule changes for Kennesaw State athletics, visit KSUOwls.com, follow KSU on Twitter @KSUOwlNation or by liking Kennesaw State Athletics on Facebook. Â
Â
Q: How can I best help support Kennesaw State athletics right now? Â
A: Kennesaw State athletics relies heavily on the support of season ticket holders and athletics donors. Our student-athletes are at risk of seeing reduced support and opportunities to be successful while representing this outstanding university. If the season is altered in any way, KSU athletics will remain responsible for the educational support, including scholarships, housing, and wellness expenses for student-athletes. Please consider contributing in support of these tremendous young men and women to the Owls Fund.
Q: Will games be broadcasted?
A: Most Owl contests will be broadcasted live on YouTube or ESPN+. To find links to watch, visit KSUOwls.com.
