KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State University student-athletes not only left their mark on the field of play in the fall semester but also worked diligently in the classroom for an outstanding academic semester. The Owls posted a 3.13 grade point average as a department during the 2021 fall semester.
The department's mission of building champions in the classroom, on the field, in the community and in life through academic excellence and integrity continues to be at the forefront under the leadership of Director of Athletics Milton Overton.
"I am so excited to see the results of the hard work and determination of our student-athletes," Overton said. "Thank you to Dr. Randy Kennedy and the Student-Athlete Success Services staff for helping our Owls achieve another semester of high academic achievement. Together, with our coaches, administration, and KSU faculty and staff, we are equipping our young men and women to be global leaders."
"I am extremely proud of our student-athletes here at KSU, they did a great job of finishing strong in the classroom," said Kennedy, the Assistant Athletics Director for the Student-Athlete Success Services. "I also appreciate the SASS staff and the tremendous work they do to support our student-athletes, and the encouragement of the coaches as well. It truly is inspiring to see how hard they work to be champions on the field, in the community and in the classroom as well."
