KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State baseball and KSU Athletics are pleased to announce MLB Hall of Famer and Atlanta Braves legend John Smoltz as the special guest speaker for the inaugural Kennesaw State baseball First Pitch Dinner.
The dinner will be held in Kennesaw's own NorthStar Church on Friday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m., with single plates available for $250 per person. Private tables for parties of eight are available for $1,600. The dress code that presides is business casual.
Doors will open at NorthStar Church's Compass Auditorium at 6 p.m., as a meet and greet with Smoltz will begin the night's proceedings.
Smoltz, a 2015 MLB Hall of Fame inductee, pitched 20 years for the Atlanta Braves organization and was an eight-time All-Star. The right-hander also won 14-or-more games 10 different times in his career and was a part of Atlanta's 1995 World Series Championship.
The event will also feature a silent auction with Kennesaw State and MLB memorabilia up for grabs. All proceeds of the auction and the event will benefit the KSU baseball team.
