MACON, Ga. - The Kennesaw State women's golf team travels to the Brickyard Golf Club on Monday, Nov. 8 for the Mercer Invitational hosted by Mercer University.
This two-day tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday, Nov. 8, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday, Nov. 9., with 10 other teams in the field.
The Owls enter the tournament following a sixth place finish in the Palmetto Intercollegiate back in October.
Mercer Invitational 11-Team Field
The Mercer Invitational features an 11-team field, with Cincinnati, Charleston Southern, Delaware, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Lamar, Mercer, Samford, Seminole State, and Southern Mississippi joining Kennesaw State.

New Owl in Charge
In June 2021, Erin Thorne was named head coach of the women's golf program. Prior to her arrival at KSU, she was the men's and women's head golf coach at Wingate, as well as the director of student-athlete development. She led the Bulldogs to six tournament championships and was a three-time South Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year.
The Roster
This year's roster features several familiar faces. Juniors Bella Kil, Tori Owens, Meva Schmit, and Alizee Vidal return, as well as sophomores Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman and Lara Jecnik. The only new player is Cameron Neilson, who joins the team after spending her freshman season at Kent State.
Reigning ASUN Champions
The Owls begin the 2021-2022 season hoping to capture their fourth-consecutive ASUN Championship. They claimed the 2020-2021 ASUN title after finishing 30 shots ahead of second-place North Florida.
Next up
The Owls return to action for the second half of the 2021-2022 season on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, for the Texas State Invitational located in Kyle, Tex. and hosted by Texas State University.
