Walton Announces 2021 Signing Class

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's soccer head coach Benji Walton has announced his 2021 signing class, bringing in a wealth of young talent to the pitch for the 2022 season.

The Owls have brought in another impressive group filled with local talent, with five of the nine players coming from Georgia.

"Thrilled with this group of signees," said Walton. "We feel like we not only added some quality depth to our team in every line, but I think we have added some experienced impact to our lineup as well. I'm looking forward to getting this group into the black and gold and seeing how our entire program will grow."

Information on each signee is listed below:

Stella Allen – Snellville, Ga. | Brookwood High School | Midfielder/Forward

  • Only freshman to make the Brookwood High varsity team
  • Played club soccer with Tophat SC
  • Found herself in the starting 11 all four years of high school
  • Led the varsity team in goals as a freshman
  • Helped the team to a 7A Final Four appearance in 2019
  • Totaled 79 goals and 27 assists heading into her senior season
  • Scored the winning goal to capture the regional title
  • Earned all-county, all-region and all-state team selections
  • Gwinnett Daily Post High School Standout
  • Top Drawer Three-Star Recruit

Mackenzie Anuska – Lake Mary, Fla. | Lake Mary High School | Defender

  • Has competed on Orlando City ECNL since 2018
  • A Lake Mary HS varsity starter since 2018
  • Three-straight years of honor roll
  • Named First Team All-Conference 2020-21 by the Orlando Sentinel
  • Named Second Team All-Conference 2019-20 by the Orlando Sentinel

Charlee Bernal – Roswell, Ga. | Roswell High School | Goalkeeper

  • First Team All-Region
  • MVP for the Roswell Hornets
  • Lettered in Honor Roll in 2020 with a consistent 3.9 GPA
  • Played for United Futbol Academy DA until sophomore year
  • Played for United Futbol Academy ECNL junior and senior years.

Allanah Blye – Duncan, S.C. | Byrnes High School | Goalkeeper

  • Four-year varsity starter at Byrnes High School
  • Played club soccer with Carolina Elite Soccer Academy
  • SC All-Region in 2019 and 2021
  • Byrnes Varsity MVP 2021
  • Byrnes Varsity Rookie of the Year 2019
  • Herald Journal All-Area Soccer Team 2019
  • 2021 stats: 149 saves, 12 penalty-kick saves, four goals allowed
  • 2018 Jefferson Cup Champion
  • 2017 South Carolina State Cup Champion
  • ODP South Region Team Camp 2017, 2018 and 2021

Aly Bryan – Lakewood, Wash. | Lakes High School | Midfielder

  • Third-highest scoring midfielder in Washington's AAA
  • Played club soccer with Washington Premier
  • Finished the season as the leading goalscorer in the league
  • Team captain since junior year
  • First Team All-League as a senior
  • Scored eight goals in a four-game stretch as a junior
  • Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore
  • Two-time Second Team All-Conference
  • MVP as a freshman
  • Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore
  • Four-year starter

Mai Jensen – Rockledge, Fla. | Viera High School | Defender

  • Played her last three years of high school for Florida Kraze Krush in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL)
  • Featured for Orlando City ECNL her freshman year.
  • A Florida Today All Space Coast Team selection at Viera High School.
  • Made it to the state semifinals for the Hawks.
  • Participates in Junior Achievement, an organization that prepares young people for employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Placed second in the country at Junior Achievement Nationals.
  • Held a speech at the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame, for which she was featured on CNBC.
  • A representative of Business and Finance Academy at Viera High School.
  • Named to the National Honors Society for academic merit.

Naomi Moleka – Buford, Ga. | Lanier High School | Defender

  • First Team All-Region player
  • Earned her way into peer leadership class
  • Older sister plays at App State
  • Two-year starter at United Futbol Academy ECNL
  • Has played three-plus years of Development Academy since freshman year
  • Has turned down offers from MTSU, Mizzou and NC State to play at KSU

Addison Neel – Suwanee, Ga. | Peachtree Ridge High School | Midfielder

  • Has played on Gwinnett Soccer Academy since U-14
  • Earned 2021 Peachtree Ridge Lion Award 
  • Won 2021 Peachtree Ridge Varsity Defensive MVP
  • Named in 2021 All-County Team
  • Named in 2021 7A All-Region First Team
  • PRHS Scholar Athlete
  • Varsity team captain for sophomore and junior years
  • Won 2020 Varsity Battle Award as sophomore
  • ECNL Southeast U-14, U-15 and U-16 champion 

Chiara Singarella – Luján de Cuyo, Argentina | Instituto Santa Maria Goretti | Forward

  • Current Independiente Rivadavia player
  • Plays for the Argentina national team in both soccer and handball
  • Rejected offers from Boston College, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and UVA
  • Named in Argentina team for both South American U-20 and U-17 Tournaments
  • Participated in the ODESUR Games in 2018
  • Won three-consecutive championships with Independiente Rivadavia
  • Named in 2017 Dream Province Team

Morgan Thomas  – McDonough, Ga. | University of Kansas | Defender

  • Transfer from the University of Kansas
  • Played high school soccer with Eagles Landing Christian Academy
  • Played club soccer at Tophat DA from 2018-20 and Concorde Fire ECNL from 2016-18
  • Two-time selection to All-State 4x4 First Team in 2017 and 2018
  • All-State First Team selection in 2018
  • All-County First Team selection in 2017
  • Featured in Marietta Daily Journal and Henry Herald articles as a high school freshman
  • Set a school record as a freshman with 25 goals, 15 assists and 65 points
