ATLANTA, Ga. – Sarah Hendrick was named to the ASUN Conference women's cross country All-Academic team, the conference announced on Wednesday (Nov. 10).

"Big congratulations are due to Sarah for earning All-Academic honors this fall," head coach Adam Bray said. "She certainly earned it on the course and in the classroom. Academics are a huge part of our program.  I often am prouder about our student-athletes earning academic awards versus their athletic achievements."

Hendrick has a 3.95 GPA as a nursing major. She was the Owls' top finisher in three races this season.  She paced KSU at the ASUN Championships in a time of 17:22.8 to take 10th. That time earned her ASUN second-team all-conference honors. The senior ran a career-best 6k time of 21:26.9 to finish third at the Blazer Classic. She finished seventh at the Joe Piane Invitational in 17:29.0. The Kennesaw, Ga. native ran a career-best time of 17:12.7 at the North Alabama Showcase in the 5k.

The Owls will travel to Huntsville, Ala. for the NCAA South Regional Friday, November 12.
