CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Ryan Hines paced the Kennesaw State men's golf team through the opening two rounds at the Battle at Black Creek on Monday.
The Owls carded rounds of 9-over par 297 and 3-over par 291 for a 12-over par total of 588 and are tied for 12
th. The Owls had only four players for the second round after senior
Brady Keran withdrew from the tournament with an injury after the first round.
Making his return to the lineup for the first time since October of 2019,
Ryan Hines signed for rounds of 73-71 for an even-par total of 144. He rolled in 26 pars, five birdies and closed his second round with an eagle on his final hole.
Conner Rostowsky fired rounds of 75-71 and is tied for 38
th at 2-over par 146. The Kennesaw, Ga. native led the Owls with nine birdies on Monday.
Reigning ASUN Golfer of the Week
Brock Healy bounced back from an opening round 76 and posted a 1-under par 71 in the second round. He is tied for 44
th at 3-over par 147.
Lucas Mota (73-78) is tied for 67
th at 7-over par 151.
The tournament finishes on Tuesday, Oct. 26 with the final 18 holes set to be played at Black Creek Club.
