KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Director of Tennis
Matt Emery has announced the signing of Sophia Unger, who will join the Owls in August 2021.
"We are thrilled to be adding Sophia to the KSU family next fall," Emery said. "She is a phenomenal athlete with tremendous upside. She brings successful junior and WTA experience, as well as a solid and consistent work ethic."
Unger resides in Marbella, Spain. She has a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) high of 9.76 and ranked No. 3 in Switzerland U18. She ranked as high as No. 1459 in the WTA Singles Rankings. She reached the doubles quarterfinals of a WTA event and was a singles quarterfinalist at the Spanish National Championships.
