CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up action at the Bob Pollock Invitational on Saturday.
 
 Men's Heptathlon (through all seven events)
  •  Ian Jackson finished third with 4368 points.
  • Jackson finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.60 seconds.
  • Quann Shears took home fourth place scoring 4285 points.
  • Shears grabbed third in the 60m hurdles in a time of 9.15 seconds.
 
 School Record Performances
  • Sarah Hendrick posted a time of 2:05.64 to finish second in the 800m.
  • That time ranks fourth in the NCAA this season.
  • Tyler Blalock recorded a throw of 19.00m (62'4.25") to win the shot put.
  • That throw ranks for 12th in the NCAA this season. 
 
Men's Notable Performances
  • Jack Rhea finished third in the pole vault clearing 4.90m (16'10.75").
  • Sultan Simms tied for fifth in the high jump with a mark of 2.05m (6'8.75").
  • Koi Williams ran a personal-best time of 1:52.51 and finished fifth in the 800m.
  • Omar Diaz raced to a season-best time of 21.29 seconds in the 200m.
  • Gavin Frick (8:54.63) and Henry Plowden (9:02.63) finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 3K.

"We have some great leaders in this group. Tyler and Sarah picked up new personal bests and established new school records. Omar Diaz and Koi Williams continue to light it up on the track. We are all looking forward to a week off and to start fine tuning for the second half of the indoor season."

The teams will travel back to Birmingham, Alabama for the Samford Invite #2 on February 12-13.
