CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams competed on the first day of the Bob Pollock Invitational on Friday.
Men's Heptathlon (through four events)
- Ian Jackson is third with 2642 points.
- Jackson won the 60m in a time of 7.21 seconds and was third in the shot put and high jump.
- Quann Shears sits in fourth place with 2534 points.
- Shears was second in the 60m in a time of 7.22 seconds and third in the long jump.
Notable Performances
- Jozalyn Albright finished sixth in the long jump landing a career-best mark of 5.73m (18'9.75").
- Tyler Blalock had a personal-best toss of 17.91m (58'9.25") to finish eighth in the weight throw.
- Karl Joeaar landed a jump of 6.98m (22'10.75") and Kelvin Campbell added a mark of 6.86m (22'06.25") to finish fifth and sixth in the long jump respectively.
- Javon Joyner landed a toss of 17.86m (58'7.25") to finish eighth in the women's weight throw.
- Britiney Johnson ran a time of 57.04 to secure tenth in 400m.
- Cameron Smith crossed the finish line in 8.42 seconds to finish fourth in the 60m hurdles.
- Omar Diaz posted a time of 6.77 seconds to finish fourth in 60m.
