CLEMSON, S.C. – The Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2021 indoor season at the Clemson Invitational on Friday.
Event Wins
- Javon Joyner landed a toss of 18.09m (59'4.25") to capture the win in the women's weight throw.
- Koi Williams posted a time of 4:15.46 to win the mile on the men's side.
Notable Performances
- Tyler Blalock was the top collegiate in the weight throw finishing second with a mark of 17.79m (58'4.50"). Anthony Harrison finished third after landing a toss of 15.50m (50'10.25").
- Kelvin Campbell landed a mark of 7.08m (23"2.75") while Karl Joeaar added a jump of 7.03m (23"0.75) to collect third and fourth in the long jump.
- Tiondra Grant landed a career-best toss of 14.98m (49'1.75") and freshman Haylee Terry added a mark of 14.66m (48'1.25") to finish second and third in the weight throw.
- Sarah Hendrick posted a time of 4:53.67 to finish fourth in the mile.
- Britiney Johnson (57.34) and Jayla Mobley (58.56) took third and fourth in the 400m.
- Sparticus Griffin (48.60), Keishon Franklin (49.79) and Aaron Goodwin (49.84) finished second, third and fourth in the 400m.
- Omar Diaz ran a time of 6.85 seconds and grabbed third in the 60m.
- Volunteer coach Daniel Haugh set the facility record winning the weight throw with a toss of 24.05m (78'11") as he continues his professional career.
