KENNESAW, Ga. – Katie Meyer was named CoSIDA Academic All-District 4, the organization announced. District 4 includes the Division-I schools in the states of Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Alabama.
Meyer holds a 4.0 GPA in environmental engineering. She was named to the ASUN All-Academic teams in cross country and indoor track and field this season. She also is a three-time member of the ASUN Honor Roll.
The junior was the Owls top finisher in four cross country races this season. She set the school record in the 4K with a time of 14:16 at the Bulldog Invitational. The Roswell, Ga. native finished 15th at the ASUN Championship in a time of 18:03.43. In indoor track, Meyer finished eighth in the 5000m with a time of 18:07.54 at the ASUN Championship.
The 2020 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom.
