OPELIKA, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's golf team continued play at the Tiger Invitational on Monday at the Grand National Lake Course.
"Today was much better overall and we were putting together a nice team score but were 7-over par on the last four holes," Head Coach
Bryant Odom said. "We still moved up a few spots and found some confidence for the final round. Everyone's score was in play today and that is what we need for success. If we can capitalize on some of the easier holes and find ways to create and maintain momentum during the round, we have some really nice golf ahead of us."
KSU carded a 12-over par 300 on Monday and sits in 17
th place with a 38-over par total of 614 after two rounds.
Connor Coffee paced the Owls with an even-par total of 72. Coffee rolled in 13 pars and two birdies on Tuesday. The senior is tied for 28
th at 3-over par 147.
Freshman
Takafumi Shimoji made four birdies and added nine pars on the way to a 2-over par 74. Shimoji sits tied for 69
th at 9-over par 153.
Freshman
Preston Topper carded a 4-over par 76 and is tied for 84
th at 13-over par 157.
Brady Keran (79) is in a tie for 92
nd and
Brock Healy (78) is in a tie for 94
th after two rounds.
The Owls will finish play at the Tiger Invitational on Tuesday (Mar. 10) at 10:39 a.m. EST. KSU will again be paired with Southern Miss and Mercer.
